Wedding Photography and Video

Genuine. Low-key. Focused.

Time’s short on your wedding day, so I’ll help you get the photos and video you want efficiently. That gives you more time with the people who count the most. Throughout the day, I’ll offer just enough gentle guidance to be sure that you look like a relaxed, happy, gorgeous YOU.

What’s it like to work with Christina?

Before the Wedding
Are you super organized with checklists and spreadsheets? If you are, great – send me everything you have, so I can be as prepared as possible! If not, no worries – I have a questionnaire that will guide you through everything I need to know that you might not have thought to ask.

You’re welcome to contact me with questions at any time during the process. I’m happy to offer suggestions on other vendors, timing, locations, or anything else that comes up. With 14 years of experience photographing Pittsburgh weddings, I can offer a lot of insight!
We’ll have a final phone call a week or two before the wedding to confirm our plans.

The Wedding Day

I stage and direct as little as possible – I don’t believe the wedding day should feel like a styled shoot –  but will offer suggestions as appropriate to get beautiful photos. I’ll keep an eye on our timeline to make sure we stay on schedule, and respectfully keep everyone organized as we get through all the photos you want.

After the Wedding

Enjoy newlywed bliss! I’ll be hard at work editing your photos, which will be delivered online within 4 weeks. Short videos are usually delivered within 3 weeks, longer videos within 6 weeks.

Should we do an engagement session?

Maybe! Here are a few reasons you might want to include an engagement session in your package.

  • You want photos to use on your Save the Date announcements.
  • There is a place or location you love that you won’t be able to go to on your wedding day.
  • An engagement session will give you an idea of what your wedding day photography will be like, and can make your wedding day photos run more smoothly.
  • You want photos in an opposite season from your wedding day.

Do we need a second photographer?

A second photographer is recommended if…

  • The couple is getting ready in different locations, and you want photos of both
  • You have a large bridal party (more than 16 people)
  • You have a very tight timeline between the ceremony and reception. A second photographer can photograph the reception room and details while the primary photographer photographs the couple and bridal party.
  • You have a large reception (200 or more guests)
  • You want a lot of candid, in between moments. A second photographer will provide a greater number and variety of photos, especially during formal portraits and major events.

Wedding Videography

Why wedding video?

When it comes to capturing emotion and telling your story, video can weave together all the key emotional moments of the day – including your voices – into a powerful, moving story that really brings you back to the moment. Video brings your personalities to life, and captures the soul of your wedding day in a way that even the best photos can’t.
