This was the year of Friday weddings for me! I’ve been trying to think of a way to describe the slightly different vibe I feel at Friday weddings. But I haven’t quite nailed it yet. I’m going to keep working on that. I can’t say they’re less formal, or less elegant. Take Courtney and Jacob’s wedding this past October as an example. I was delighted to assist my friend Alisa at this Carnegie Museum wedding that was definitely elegant and classy. But there’s just something a little bit buttoned down, at the same time. Or so it feels to me.

Courtney and Jacob got ready at the Mansions on Fifth in Shadyside before heading over to the Carnegie Museum for their ceremony in the Hall of Sculpture, followed by reception in the Music Hall Foyer. Here are just a few of my favorite photos from this beautiful day.

So, all of the wedding decor was pretty amazing, but this flower wall made of pink and lavender roses and white hydrangeas was absolutely jaw dropping. WOW.
