Our boys, Leo and Jonas, were surprised to wake up early one Saturday morning and discover a dog in the house! What a surprise! They’d been asking again and again and hearing only a resounding “no.” After Marley, our German Wirehaired Pointer died, I wasn’t sure if I’d ever want a dog. And then – after 2 1/2 years, one day I woke up and for reasons unknown felt like it was time. (Maybe Jonas watching every Air Bud and Buddies movie over and over again influenced me?)
And so Matt and I endeavored to find a dog that met our criteria: shaggy, not too young and not too old, not too big and not too small. And we found him!
Iroh (formerly known as Mason) traveled over 1,500 miles from a rescue in Texas to join our family. We’re so grateful to TracysDogs for bringing him to us! Here is his story.
