Katy and Justin live in Illinois, but chose to have their wedding in Pittsburgh as Justin’s family lives here. They chose wisely, as their August wedding day brought sunny skies and moderate temperatures. The day began with both Katy and Justin getting ready at Justin’s parents’ house – carefully, because they didn’t want to see each other! Justin and his groomsmen camped out on the lower level, while Katy and her bridesmaids took over the second floor. Their adorable dog Leila traveled back and forth and visited with both of them.
Katy finally got to see her dad just before he walked her down the aisle. Thanks to my friend and second shooter Jennifer Stein for capturing these images and several others shown here. 
After the ceremony, we drove to Point State Park for some portrait time. Clearly everyone in Pittsburgh is thrilled that the park is open again and the fountain operational as there were lots of people enjoying the beautiful day there. 
Katy and Justin chose to have their reception at the beautiful Edgewood Country Club in Churchill specifically for its unique character, natural light, terrace and attentive service. It certainly delivered on all of these! The room looked great, and the grounds also provide a beautiful backdrop for portraits of the happy bride and groom.
