As an avid gardener, most of the time I can recognize and identify the flowers I see in bouquets, centerpieces and other floral arrangements. At least most of them. But sometimes there are flowers that I don’t know, and usually it’s these flowers that are truly remarkable.
Such was the case at Lauren and Sid’s beautiful June wedding in the outdoor garden at Phipps Conservatory. All of the flowers featured these amazing pale orange flowers with pink tips. I stared and stared at them, trying to figure out what they were – but it wasn’t until I spoke to the florist, Mount Lebanon Floral Shop, that I learned they’re called Free Spirit Roses. What a great name!
This gorgeous arrangement, which also featured white hydrangeas and berries, sat on the table alongside Sid and Lauren’s guestbook. And here you can also see the beautiful carved box for cards.
The ceremony arrangements also featured tall, striking snapdragons. Lauren’s perfect bouquet. Boutonnieres…The bridesmaids’ bouquets looked amazing in contrast to their navy blue dresses. And check out their fun shoes! The cake was stunning and topped with more free spirit roses. And I loved the ribbons for accent on the vase on this arrangement. All flowers designed and created by Mount Lebanon Floral Shop.
