Katie and Chris grew up and met here in Pittsburgh, but now live in DC. Given that Pittsburgh has resembled Seattle more than anything else this spring, we were very lucky to have a beautiful Friday evening for their engagement session.

Our original plan of meeting at Rivertowne in the Del Monte building was thwarted by an unprecedented crowd of people all over the North Shore. Apparently there was a concert by a group that I’d never heard of at the new American Eagle venue. Since there was a lengthy wait for Rivertowne, we headed over to the Tilted Kilt instead. For those of you who, like us, had never been to the Tilted Kilt, here’s a little insider information: it’s something of a Scottish Hooters. Enough said?

After a quick round, we wandered around the North Shore amongst the concertgoers (and also promgoers – there was a prom at PNC Park!). Smiles all around for Katie and Chris.

En route to an outfit change, I spotted this moody patch of sky. Amazing how the cloud formation made a heart out of the sun!undefinedThanks to Nicki for coming along to help with lighting. undefinedundefinedundefined

Thanks Katie and Chris! Can’t wait for your July wedding at the Heinz History Center.
