Lucky me, back to back weddings at the Pittsburgh Zoo Water’s Edge! Just a week after Julie & Jared’s wedding, I had the privilege of shooting Natasa & Greg’s marriage celebration in the very same room.

But first, a short trip out to Aliquippa for their ceremony at St. Elijah, a Serbian Orthodox church.

Natasa’s matron of honor’s daughter takes a picture of Natasa and her sister to send immediately to their mom, who was at home in Serbia.

Greg’s nephew, Luca, charmed all of the female guests by giving them each a flower. This lucky lady is his mom. I very rarely share ceremony photos, but I also very rarely see brides and grooms wearing big crowns. I have a feeling that they are even heavier than they look. After the ceremony, we had a beautiful drive back to Pittsburgh for Greg & Natasa’s reception. I was so happy to see this guy swimming! Lining the ledge underneath are votive candle holders. Each one was labeled with guests’ names and their table assignments. We spent just a few minutes taking photos of the happy couple. There were quite a few kids in attendance, and they all had a great time. Waiting at each child’s table was a soft cuddly stuffed animal.

My favorite moment of the whole day was when I heard the first few notes of the first dance song – “You’re the One that I Want” from Grease. No standing and swaying for these two! Not much standing and swaying by the other guests, either. DJ Brian of Who’s Your DJ did a great job keeping everyone on the dance floor. Love this. He looks so fascinated. Last one.

Natasa and Greg, congratulations! I’m so glad I was there to document your day.
