Saturday, June 5 was Emily and Jim’s wedding day, and I had the privilege of assisting Pamela Marie. Exciting!
Emily’s maid of honor was very excited for her friend, but also because generous Emily gave all her bridesmaids an amazing gift: a Flip video camera. Wow!
Each bridesmaid also received one of these necklaces (each had a different word).
Emily and Jim’s wedding was held at Lingrow Farm, which is northeast of Pittsburgh just outside Leechburg. It’s a beautiful setting.
Pamela does whatever it takes to get the perfect shot.
Lingrow Farm features an old barn that’s been converted into a wedding reception facility. This is the top floor of the barn:
There were quite a few children present, and Emily made sure to provide activities for them. Good idea!Emily and Jim chose to see each other before their ceremony. While the weather was rather a disappointment, we did manage to get some beautiful portraits before the downpour came.
I loved Emily & Jim’s placecards! Jim works in a kitchen, and they both love to go out to eat. So they wrote each guest’s name and table assignment on a diner check, and hung them on a clothesline. Cute, personal, and attractive!Tables were named for one of Emily & Jim’s favorite restaurants, and guests could read a description of each one. There are a few I’d like to try!Food provided by Remo’s Catering. This fruit buffet was delicious beyond belief. Pineapple, papaya, blueberries… yogurt… yum. I made a few trips….I can’t imagine a prettier setting for a wedding. In addition to the barn, Lingrow Farm has a sprawling property with a small pond and stream. On a drier day, you can have your ceremony right next to the pond.
They are so sweet together.
Emily and her dad. Good night!
Congratulations Emily and Jim! And thanks again to Pamela Marie for having me along. It’s always a blast!
