Mazel tov to Dylan! This young man celebrated his bar mitzvah at Adat Shalom in Fox Chapel. This was my first time at Adat Shalom, and I loved the warmth of all the wood of the sanctuary, as well as the warmth and humor of Rabbi Lehrer.
I was pleased to photograph Dylan’s rehearsal the day before his service, as well as the actual service… which Rabbi Lehrer declared to be the “official bar mitzvah of the Stanley Cup.”
But I admit I was most excited to photograph Dylan’s celebration, held at one of my most favorite places in all of Pittsburgh… PNC Park. When you have an event at PNC Park, the guests of honor are permitted on the field and in the dugout for photos. I’m not sure who was more excited about this – Dylan and his family – or me. Even though it was awfully hot, and I can’t stand being hot, I was thrilled be right where my beloved Pirates play.
Here are some of my favorite photos from this wonderful day.
Rabbi Lehrer proclaimed Dylan’s bar mitzvah “the official bar mitzvah of the Stanley Cup.”
Dylan’s younger brother doubled as Secret Service detail. The older brothers had a harder time remaining serious.
Party time!!!
Making the call to the bullpen… calling Melancon, of course.
I love reflective floors.
A big hug from his big sister.
Mazel tov, Dylan!
