A huge mazel tov to Maya, who celebrated becoming a Bat Mitzvah this past weekend at Beth El Congregation in Pittsburgh’s South Hills. I’d only just been to Beth El for the first time in November, and I was very happy to have the opportunity to go back again so soon.
I met Maya and her family a few days prior to her service for photos on the bimah and with the Torah. Then on Saturday night it was time to party at The Rivers Club! When Maya arrived for her party and looked around, she oohed and aahed over the candy buffet the most.
The Rivers Club was recently completely renovated and it looks amazing! If I didn’t know for sure I’d been there before, I would have thought I’d never been there before. DJ Sosa did an absolutely fantastic job of keeping the kids (and adults!) entertained, and The Rivers Club served up a fun and tasty menu.

DJ Sosa is a fantastic Bat Mitzvah DJ. If you’re looking for a DJ your Bat Mitzvah or Bar Mitzvah, I highly recommend him!
