7TH AND PENN PARKLET, DOWNTOWN

WHY IS THE 7TH AND PENN PARKLET A GOOD CHOICE FOR WEDDING PHOTOS OR AN ENGAGEMENT SESSION?

It’s a very small corner lot with fake magnolia trees. The magnolia trees look surprisingly real, and therefore bloom all year long! The walls of the buildings on two sides of the plaza are completely covered with ivy.

But keep in mind…

  • Very close to the street, so cars and pedestrians are very close to you.
  • There’s no reliable place to park quickly – you’re limited to the nearby downtown garages.

So this is a fine spot if you’re heading to the Renaissance Hotel, or The Fairmont, or Olive or Twist and already parking nearby downtown, but it’s a little tricky to make this a quick spot. Remember, even if you’re traveling in a limo, your photographer is usually driving separately and will need to find a place to put her car for a few minutes.
