It seems November is the new October. As one who prefers cooler temperatures, I would say that Jess & Jeff picked the best day of the year for weather. We were never hot and never cold. In November.

This was my first time shooting a wedding at Lenape Heights Golf Resort. If proximity to the city isn’t important, this is a great wedding venue! The L Hotel is just steps from the banquet hall, very convenient for those who want to spend the night. The hotel has lots of windows and neutral decor, perfect for brides and grooms to get ready. (It’s always a plus to pick a place with good natural light!) The rooms have balconies overlooking the scenic golf course, and there are also well lit common areas, so if you were here on a rainy day there would be indoor options for photos.

After getting ready at the L Hotel, Jess and Jeff were married at the Christ Prince of Peace Church in Ford City. We then returned to Lenape Heights for photos on the golf course. Dinner and dancing followed in the Banquet Hall. I was delighted to see DJ Eric Schiemer running the party and providing the entertainment for the evening – it was a great crowd! It was also a pleasure to work alongside my friend Christina of Traveling Heart Productions – can’t wait to see the video!

Many thanks to the immensely talented Erica Dietz for shooting this wedding with me. Some of the images below are hers.

I loved this moment! Jeff was so excited to meet Jess that he didn’t want to stay put and wait up front. So he went right ahead and started walking towards her.

After the first dance, there were several speeches, including some great stories about Jess and Jeff. My favorite was when Jess’s sister Amanda explained the most beloved gift Jess ever received: a toolbox. Even as a little girl, Jess loved fixing things, and had excitedly tried to explain to her bewildered sister how she could keep her wrenches and hammers neatly organized in the toolbox.
