Tasty Tuesday #2: Fall Cookie Table

This week’s Tasty Tuesday features that wonderfully indulgent Pittsburgh tradition… the cookie table! Amy and Andrew’s reception at the Sheraton at Station Square.

Amy and Andrew’s wedding featured fall colors, and that theme continued through the cookie table. Who knew you could create an entire tablescape of delicious cookies in just brown, yellow and orange?

Adding levels of trays always adds a little something to any cookie display. And the curve of this table is a nice touch too. At the far end of the table guests could create the dessert coffee of their dreams. With so many cookies to try, thankfully there were bags right there on the table to take some home.Cookies provided by: Bethel Bakery

Stuffed animal camouflage

Let me right away acknowledge that YES, we have seen the movie ET, and yes, we absolutely were thinking of the famous ET-in-the-closet-with-the-stuffed-animals scene when the following occurred.

It was Leo’s idea to play what he called “Animal Club,” where he and Jonas would assemble some of their animals and take care of them. Once I saw how many he was assembling, I thought, Hmmmm.

Then this happened.I think this one’s my favorite. Jonas’s face is visible if you look long enough, but I love the hand sticking out, signaling his location.Guess what’s on Leo’s Christmas list?

Stuffed animals, of course.

Jonas and Leo will have to do a better job hiding next time. I found them EASILY!
