Pittsburgh Wedding Photographer | Christina Montemurro bio picture
  • Hello! I’m Christina.

Welcome! If you're looking for a wedding or portrait photographer in the Pittsburgh area, you're in the right place.

Choosing a photographer is one of the most important decisions you'll make during your wedding planning. It's so important to find someone you can trust to capture the big and small moments of your wedding day, and someone who makes you feel comfortable at ease.

I'm known for being laid back and relaxed, and respect that this is your day to celebrate and enjoy. My goal is to get you beautiful images efficiently and unobtrusively so that you have lots of time for fun.

Please look through my galleries and scroll down for recent work, and then contact me to reserve your date!

His and hers wedding cakes

Have you heard of a groom’s cake? They’re not seen too often in Pittsburgh, but apparently are very common in the south.  A groom’s cake is just a second cake, often made to represent something the groom enjoys, whether it’s a guitar, a football, or a bottle of wine. Everyone loves cake, right? (Okay, I don’t… but I do love to photograph them.) Why not have more than one? Especially if you’re having a hard time deciding on a single flavor.

Just one of the weddings I attended this year had a second cake. That was Kate & Jon’s Labor Day weekend wedding at Schenley Park Visitor Center. Here’s the big cake, looking lovely and tall and beautiful, especially with the high-beamed ceiling of the Cafe as its backdrop. And then here’s this little guy, looking up…  a little wistful, maybe even envious, of the height of his neighbor?

You can get a better sense of the height difference in this wider shot by my assistant, Alisa. I think Jon is super excited about finally getting to eat the cake!

Chalkboards aren’t just for schools…

… they can also be for weddings. Check out the creative use Jerri & Jacob made of this chalkboard for their August wedding:

I love the use of so many colors of chalk, making the chalkboard a vibrant, festive addition to this outdoor summer wedding.  And perfect for the more informal setting of Jerri’s parents’ beautiful home.
