Those of us who live in Pittsburgh know how great it is. But the rest of the country still needs some convincing. Helping us makes a small step in that direction, NPR recently did a feature on Pittsburgh. Not only did this segment air on the radio, but NPR also selected it for its “Story of the Day” podcast, garnering some extra attention (including me).
The story covers Pittsburgh’s transformation from steel town to cauldron of technology. Pretty neat stuff! You can read the article or listen to it at NPR’s website. The highlight? The closing line, which reads, “Pittsburgh is a city that doesn’t wait for things to happen anymore. And that’s why other cities that are trying to emerge from their industrial pasts now look to Pittsburgh with envy.” Yay!
