Okay, Pittsburgh weather. It’s rained about, I don’t know, three times all summer. So why start raining on Saturday about half an hour before Jerri & Jacob’s wedding was about to start? Not fair!

The rain was disappointing, but Jerri and Jacob were still beaming and so happy. You might remember this gorgeous couple from their Strip District engagement session. They could have worn burlap sacks and been married in a parking lot and still looked amazing.

Jerri & Jacob’s wedding was held at Jerri’s parents’ home. They’d done a ton of work to get the property ready, and the landscaping was beautiful. Plus, Jerri’s brother made the bridge that Jerri’s stunning gown is hanging from here –

As Jerri is a musician (and I’m a [very rusty] piano player myself), I had to frame a photo of her getting her makeup done with the piano.

The flower girls admire Jerri.

And so does her dad.

The rain and the guests arrived right around the same time. Surprise Elvis appearance!

It was just drizzling a tiny bit for this dramatic entrance. A bagpiper walked ahead of a horse-drawn carriage.

Thankfully there was a break in the rain after the ceremony, so we had a little time for pictures. First on the brand-new brother-built bridge.

This little girl was having such a good time. The box at her feet was full of ice and bottles of soda. She kept picking one up and then dropping it into the water and watching it splash. Too cute!

And then it really started to rain. Boo to the rain! But hooray for everyone that helped rescue gifts and other items that needed to be protected. This is Jerri’s brother-in-law Bill.

And cheers to whoever supplied all these big white umbrellas.

They’re about to discover that it’s a good idea to remove the ribbon first, before you try to cut the cake.

How cute are these two?!

Jacob & Jerri – congratulations to you both! You look so happy together and I wish you many, many years together. It was a pleasure spending the day with you and getting to meet your families.
