Pittsburgh Wedding Photographer | Christina Montemurro bio picture
  • Hello! I’m Christina.

Welcome! If you're looking for a wedding or portrait photographer in the Pittsburgh area, you're in the right place.

Choosing a photographer is one of the most important decisions you'll make during your wedding planning. It's so important to find someone you can trust to capture the big and small moments of your wedding day, and someone who makes you feel comfortable at ease.

I'm known for being laid back and relaxed, and respect that this is your day to celebrate and enjoy. My goal is to get you beautiful images efficiently and unobtrusively so that you have lots of time for fun.

Please look through my galleries and scroll down for recent work, and then contact me to reserve your date!

Published in the Post-Gazette!

My first official act of photojournalism! I had a photo in yesterday’s Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, south section. My brother-in-law, Zak Koeske, has been writing for the Post-Gazette for the past several months. Last Saturday, I accompanied Zak to Macy’s at South Hills Village Mall to shoot a photo for his article about the Salvation Army bell ringers. (Or in this case, a door opener.)

Here’s a larger view:

Unfortunately for the Post-Gazette, Zak will soon be leaving Pittsburgh to study journalism at Northwestern University in Chicago.

Q&A with John & Elizabeth Craig and David Burke

Last night I attended an informal Q&A at John & Elizabeth Craig‘s house. I can’t say enough about the generosity and giving nature of the Craigs, to not just provide an opportunity for photographers of all levels to share information and ideas, but to also open their beautiful home to everyone. Elizabeth cooked up a storm (her tortellini in a homemade pesto and tomato sauce was delicious) and even had delicious beer, Blue Moon Belgian White. I couldn’t say no to one of those. (Just one!)

It was a pleasure to have the opportunity to meet a whole lot of local photographers. I love being part of an industry that is so welcoming and open to sharing ideas and information.

Check out Craig Photography as well as John’s blog and Elizabeth’s blog to find out more about their endeavors.

I also enjoyed meeting

  • David Burke, who also shared lots of insight and experience
  • Elizabeth & Vincent of Elizabeth Vincent Photography. They are true wedding photojournalists in the process of relocating to Pittsburgh from Indiana. I wish them the best of luck moving with two little boys!
  • Dan Speicher

and seeing again

and of course my dear friend Randi Voss – thanks for driving!

Ack, there were a number of other people that I didn’t write down. Sorry! If you were there, feel free to leave a comment and say hi.
