Last night I attended an informal Q&A at John & Elizabeth Craig‘s house. I can’t say enough about the generosity and giving nature of the Craigs, to not just provide an opportunity for photographers of all levels to share information and ideas, but to also open their beautiful home to everyone. Elizabeth cooked up a storm (her tortellini in a homemade pesto and tomato sauce was delicious) and even had delicious beer, Blue Moon Belgian White. I couldn’t say no to one of those. (Just one!)
It was a pleasure to have the opportunity to meet a whole lot of local photographers. I love being part of an industry that is so welcoming and open to sharing ideas and information.
Check out Craig Photography as well as John’s blog and Elizabeth’s blog to find out more about their endeavors.
I also enjoyed meeting
- David Burke, who also shared lots of insight and experience
- Elizabeth & Vincent of Elizabeth Vincent Photography. They are true wedding photojournalists in the process of relocating to Pittsburgh from Indiana. I wish them the best of luck moving with two little boys!
- Dan Speicher
and seeing again
and of course my dear friend Randi Voss – thanks for driving!
Ack, there were a number of other people that I didn’t write down. Sorry! If you were there, feel free to leave a comment and say hi.
