  • Hello! I’m Christina.

Welcome! If you're looking for a wedding or portrait photographer in the Pittsburgh area, you're in the right place.

Choosing a photographer is one of the most important decisions you'll make during your wedding planning. It's so important to find someone you can trust to capture the big and small moments of your wedding day, and someone who makes you feel comfortable at ease.

I'm known for being laid back and relaxed, and respect that this is your day to celebrate and enjoy. My goal is to get you beautiful images efficiently and unobtrusively so that you have lots of time for fun.

O Christmas Card 2009

Last Thursday, I took my boys to Phipps with the hope of getting some photos to use on this year’s Christmas Card. It seemed like a good idea – I loved last year’s pictures! Alas, it didn’t quite work out. Jonas was feeling disgruntled, apparently, because he insisted on being in my arms (well, technically, in a sling - I’m so glad I brought one) for about 99% of the time we were there. And it is awfully difficult to photograph someone while you are holding them.

On a side note… I love Phipps. We go there all the time and it is one of my most favorite things about living in Pittsburgh. But the “Winter Show” is a bit disappointing (and the Fall Show was, as well). As the Fräbel glass exhibit is still there, for both the fall and winter shows, a few seasonal flowers have been added to the glass exhibits, but for the most part the rooms look the same as they have for the whole period of the exhibit. The exception is the Broderie room, which is decorated for the holidays. I don’t know how much longer Fräbel is going to be there, but I’m kind of hoping that it’s gone before the spring flower show.

Anyhow… there I was, trying to convince Jonas that it would be fun to run around. And I did detach him briefly. As seen below.

On to Plan B! My next idea was to try to capture some photos of the boys while we worked on getting up our Christmas tree. Success! Here are a few that I loved, but didn’t make it onto the card.

Love this! They’re so sweet and sincere and focused and fascinated.

Leo puts ornaments on the tree….

… and Jonas takes them off.

And then it was crazy time!

Happy Holidays to everyone!

(I’ll share the final card closer to the holidays.)

p.s. I just finished watching the first season of Mad Men. It’s a fascinating and well-done show, and more than anything made me thankful to live in an era where a woman can have a career and a family. I so very much love both my work and my husband and my kids and can’t imagine life without them.
