Last Sunday was one of the most beautiful days yet this fall, just perfect weather for Emily and Tim’s engagement session. Emily and Tim’s wedding is set for next May, with their ceremony in a church in a South Side – and so the South Side was our destination.

Also joining us was Emily and Tim’s adorable dog, Baxter.

Thanks for a fun evening, Emily and Tim! I’m very much looking forward to your wedding next May. Here’s hoping for another beautiful day!

Random recommendation:

I don’t spend much time on the South Side and don’t know too much about the many bars and restaurants there. But I have had the opportunity to go to (warning before you click: the following site plays music) The Milkshake Factory a couple times. Who can say no to a pumpkin milkshake? Delicious!

This past weekend was a busy one, with a wedding on Saturday and two sessions on Sunday. Saturday was cold and overcast, and I worried that my Sunday sessions might need to be rescheduled. But thankfully Sunday morning was a perfect fall day, sunny, dry and not too cold.

I feel lucky to have spent a little time with three brothers, Devin, Liam and Seth, who are 12, 10 and 8. I loved seeing them interact with each other – they clearly have a lot of affection for each other and love to have fun.

Along for the day was their little dog, Rocky. I’m not sure what he thought of the whole thing, but he did great.

This was their idea… how cool is that?

All three boys have beautiful blue eyes.

The best part of all, though, was when their mom emailed me after the session: “I wanted to tell you yesterday how much my children enjoyed your session – it was all they talked about.”

Thank you, boys!

… he’s just my very own boy Leo, working the scary face in preparation for Halloween.

Joss Whedon: if you do ever make another Buffy movie, and you need someone to play a young Spike – there you are.

Weather-wise, last Saturday was about the dreariest fall day you can imagine. Cold, gray, rainy. Nonstop. But that didn’t stop Tracey and Chris from celebrating their marriage – and after looking through my images, it’s a challenge to find many where Tracey isn’t beaming. She was just gorgeous and radiant all day long.

Thanks to Pamela Marie for inviting me to second shoot this beautiful wedding. Definitely a day I’ll never forget. ::)
