Tony DePaolis | The Contemporary Dynamic | Portraits in the Strip District

You may remember my photos of the Interval Trio at Ava in East Liberty back in May. One of the musicians that night was bass player Tony DePaolis, who has been working night and day over the past several months on his first CD, The Contemporary Dynamic. As Totny needed some photos for his CD and promotional materials, we met in the Strip District to capture some portraits.

A big, big thanks again to Randi Voss for joining me on this shoot, and providing fun, upbeat energy and motivation despite her cold and jet lag. This is one of my favorites of her images:

Tony: congratulations on your CD – I’m very much looking forward to its release!

Christina, these images are exceptional! I especially love the BW shots. Awesome, awesome work!

Brittany & John's wedding { Ligonier Country Inn | Laughlintown, Pennsylvania }

This past Saturday I traveled out to Laughlintown, just east of Ligonier, to assist Pamela Marie in photographing Brittany & John’s wedding.

It was a very strange weather day. One minute raining, the next sunny. Then pouring, then sunny. Unfortunately one of these downpours took up most of the time that had been set aside for pictures of Brittany and John before their ceremony. But we found plenty of indoor places to work with.

Brittany is very sweet and was such a gorgeous, laidback bride.

Isn’t she gorgeous?

And here’s John with his gorgeous bride, just after their first look. I love how he’s looking at her!

You never know how kids will do when it’s time for the wedding ceremony. But these four were perfect, blowing bubbles as they walked down the aisle. They were so thrilled to be part of the celebration – and so adorable! I loved hearing about the upcoming first day of school and karate lessons.

Brittany chose sunflowers for her bouquets and centerpieces, and also had these gorgeous pots of sunflowers lining the aisles.

More beautiful sunflowers on the cake. It was carrot cake. I had just one bite – delicious.

For those wondering about the cookie table. I can’t even begin to describe how amazing it was, and apparently Brittany’s aunt made all of them. They were extraordinary. Especially the ones that look like little peaches. I heard one guest say they’re called “peach butts.” I would really like to see the recipe for these cookies but I am too afraid of what I’ll find if I google “peach butts.”

One more: remember that Steelers-themed table name card chart? Each table had a card with the name of a Pittsburgh Steeler on it. Each table also had a number of tealight candles. Can you guess where this is leading?

Sorry Rashard!

I love the black and white shots from the morning, beautiful! Especially that one of the back detail with her hand on her hip. This bride is gorgeous!

What a beautiful wedding. I’m quite fond of sunflowers and the Steelers.
