This past weekend, I had the extreme pleasure and good fortune to work with the fabulous Weddings by Heather team. I can’t imagine someone more calm, focused and driven than Heather is. She anticipated every moment, knowing exactly where to be and when.

Here are a few images that I captured.

Each table had a cake centerpiece.

There was a big cake, too. I love this decorative icing.

Vanessa, my sister’s fiance’s niece, tends to be very shy. But I got lucky at my sister’s bridal shower when she decided to warm up to me… right when she was in the most beautiful window light. I snatched my camera and snapped this before she had time to flee.

Monday night I returned to Ava for a night of smokin’ hot jazz. I was impressed by the musicians the last time, but I have to say that that night paled in comparison to what I heard this time. I am nothing but impressed by these musicians who are able to team up in any configuration and proceed to tear the place up. It was most definitely worth staying up late and walking around like a zombie the next day due to lack of sleep.

You can see all of my photos here.

The audience awaits the second set.
