Each year, a group of my co-workers participates in Presents for Patients, a charitable outreach program where nursing and personal care home patients are asked what they’d like for Christmas, and then invididuals volunteer to shop for those items, and eventually deliver them directly.
This was my first year going along for the delivery. What a wonderful experience! The recipients were so moved that someone had thought of them, thanked us profusely and happily looked at their gifts and cards.
Here are a few photos I took. This facility felt little like a facility – it was two houses joined by an indoor walkway and had a very warm, cozy feel to it.
